– Case study

“In Bulgaria, because many people do not speak English, I completed the Super Stylist course by myself first, and then I made a presentation to my team on the key points to be as close as possible to the course and what it means to be a successful salon professional today.

At Nouhou Salon if you really want to succeed as a hairdresser, then as well as technical skills, you need the information and communication skills covered in the Super Stylist course.

One of the most important parts of the course for us is the lessons on the consultation process, because in our experience, when you have a problem with a client, it’s not so much a technical problem, but is more likely a communication problem and communication begins in the consultation. So, we put a lot of emphasis on the consultation component of the course, as everything stems from that.

It’s important that hairdressers master technical skills. But sometimes we put so much emphasis on the technical skills that we forget about developing the attitude of the hairdressers.

One of the benefits of the Super Stylist course is that it has helped our team develop more confident and professional attitudes.

Whether it’s in the consultation or talking about the products, our team are now more confident and more natural in their approach to educating the clients about our products and services.

It's not so much about selling, it’s more about an attitude of education and making the client more aware of the opportunities, whether it’s rebooking, add-on sales, or retail recommendations.

The Super Stylist course has helped make our stylists more aware of the potential they have in the eight hours they are at work every day.

As a result, our average bill and rebooking percentage have definitely improved, with almost every hairdresser on our team now at least 80 percent booked every day!”
