Zoë is one of the most inspiring hairdressers in the industry today. As an established creative director and session stylist she has worked with many of the world’s top brands, magazines and hairdressing groups and also has an enviable celebrity client list. Her work is a unique blend of traditional technique, learnt and honed over her 30-year career, and new and exciting concepts developed from emerging trends in hair and fashion. Her beautiful style is edgy and forward-thinking and creates the most striking editorial work, yet is easily adapted for the salon. As an educator, Zoë is exciting, inspiring and has her own personal style, with a teaching method that sees her build a story around the hair, adding trend, fashion and historical context to her work. Her special approach to hairdressing was recognised by the industry in 2012 when she was awarded the prestigious Most Wanted Hair Icon award by Creative Head magazine.

“The Stella McCartney of hairdressing – Down-to-earth, but also very talented and hip”

The Independent

“Zoe Irwin is absolutely invaluable to anyone who has ever held a hairbrush”

Ms Newby Hands – Harper’s Bazaar

“Zoe is the queen of blonde, an expert at balayage and the originator of the sultry, dirty-root blonde that has since been seen on the heads of everyone who’s anyone(and well before Hoxton copycats bleach I’d like to add). She is always coming up with creative innovations to move hair forward.”

Ms Amy Bannerman – Elle

I have worked with Zoe for five years as Editor-In-Chief of British Elle. Her modern take on everything that is happening within her industry and that of the wider fashion industry has been invaluable for me. Her knowledge is unparalleled and her ability to get that across in the most accessible way is unique.

Ms Lorraine Candy – Editor-In-Chief, Elle
