The transition from hairstylist to becoming a salon owner and manager happens overnight, but unfortunately, more often than not, that transition happens with very little training or true understanding of the responsibilities that come with it.  

As a hairdresser, former multi-salon owner, educator and business coach, I created this course so that salon owners and managers had both the understanding and the tools needed to guide them through the journey of becoming an effective leader and manager.

I recognise that everyone going through this course will have varying degrees of experience, so this course builds on solid foundations, with each module building on the next. 

The result is a comprehensive guide that covers the functions of management regardless of at what point of the  journey you are on..

Frequently asked questions

Is the Course all on-line?

Yes! The Management course is an online course. It is completely self paced so you can work through it as fast or as slow as you need and at whatever time suits you. You have lifetime access to the course along with any future upgrades.

The course is made up of 8 modules with a total of 59 video lessons [ranging from 10 mins to 49 minutes]

The course is supplemented with a series of 10 live Zoom calls over a period of 12 months. These calls are recorded in case you miss them as they will not always be in your timezone or at times convenient to you. If you miss the calls don’t worry as they will always be recorded and put in your course library.

What is the difference between the GROUP and PRIVATE coaching packages?

The first option is the ‘Management course and GROUP coaching’ package at an investment of $US847. This option is primarily aimed at the single salon owner or manager who works through the course on their own but has access to join in on 10 x 1 hour group coaching sessions over zoom where they have the opportunity to have their own questions answered as well as be part of a larger sharing community. These calls are at fixed times on Mondays every month for 12 months (excluding August and December). In the event you can't attend live you can still email in questions beforehand which will be answered on the call. All group coaching calls are recorded and put into your course library to review in your own time.

The second option is the ‘Management course plus PRIVATE coaching at an investment of US$1,997. Some salon owners and managers prefer the option of a more private 1-1 coaching session. Whether this is for the single salon owner or for a salon group who wish to have a more customised package specific to their management team. This package includes the ‘Management Course’ plus 4 x 1 hour PRIVATE coaching sessions for the salon owner and or their team at a time that works for you. All of your coaching calls are recorded and put into your own PRIVATE course library to review again in your own time.

Is this course suitable for me to give to my managers to work through?

The short answer is yes. However it is a little more complicated than that.

For example: in some cases the salon owner might have bought a franchise salon and has no interest in working in the salon but wants to put a manager in there to run the business. In some cases that person is given full responsibility for the business ranging from hiring and firing, training, inventory and payroll. In other words they are running the business completely.

Whereas in another instance the salon owner might give someone the title of ‘manager' and a key to the front door and their responsibility is limited to opening and closing the salon and to do as many clients as possible while the owner comes and goes and looks after everything else.

And then of course there is everything in between those two extremes of management responsibility.

So here’s my advice. 

As the business owner you need to go through this course because there are some areas of ‘management’ that only you can do! For example; only you can develop the vision for the business, it’s your business and that is your responsibility. Once you have defined the vision [meaning what you want your salon to be like] then you should share that with your manager and the team so that they have a clear understanding of what your vision for the business is. Because only then when they have that understanding will they be able to manage it.

Aside from developing the business vision there are numerous lessons within the course that require your input first. Once you have gone through the course yourself then you can decide how you will integrate the course with your manager(s) as a management training.

1. You might wish them to work through the entire course on their own.

2. Or alternately you might select specific modules within the course that are relevant to the areas of responsibility that you have decided to give to them.

What you should not do is purchase the course and give it to them [without working through it yourself]  in the hope that it will make them a better manager without any of your involvement or direction.

Can my managers share the course?

If you have a management team that come together on a regular basis there is no reason why you can’t sit down together and work through the course.

If you have multiple salons or your managers do not regularly get together then once you have purchased the course you can then add on extra seats for your managers at $97 per seat. That way each manager will receive their own complete course that they can work through by themselves on their own device at a time and place that works for them.

Each additional seat entitles your manager to:

A unique user login enables the user to access the course on any device anytime, anywhere for 12 months.

Individual certification at the end of the course.

Individual course dashboard to pick up where they left off

The course/salon owner is able to:

Add additional managers at any time.

Access and track individual team members' course progress.

What support is there as I work through the course?

An essential component of this course is the comments section located directly underneath every video lesson, here you can ask questions and receive direct feedback from Antony.

There is also a members only facebook group to ask questions both to Antony and the larger group.

We also support you with 10 x 1 hour group coaching calls over a period of 12 months where you can engage, ask questions and receive feedback and support from Antony and the rest of the group.

Basically there is a lot of support should you need it.

However none of it is required in order to work through the course and get the most out of the course.

We have some people who don’t attend any of the coaching calls, very rarely comment in the facebook group but quietly work through the course, implement everything as they go and then email us when they have finished with a glowing testimonial and feedback on how much it helped them and the incredible transformation that they have made…

And then there are others who are on every coaching call and are always asking questions in the FB group, and ask questions underneath the lessons and are very active within the group.

Everybody works differently and that is how we have designed the course, it is completely turn key with the added bonus of as much support as you feel you need, some people also prefer adding on the private coaching with Antony for either themselves and or their management team, it all depends on you and your needs but the course is solid on its own without any of the added support bonuses.

Courses are motivational, but often the results don't have longevity. How is this different?

I agree that's often the case, one of the reasons is you go to a seminar leave all pumped up and within a week it's back to business as usual. The advantage of this course is that you own it and can review it again and again. Secondly, there's a lot of content in this course that deals with having the right mindset when you can change how someone ‘Shows up' every day you change the results long term.

Is the course content drip fed?

No all components of the course are available to you immediately on purchase.  Occasionally course bonuses may be added in at a later date at no charge.

Do I have to do anything techie?

No! Once you register you will be emailed your login details and after that point it's essentially playing videos as you work your way through the course. Everything that you need is in the course platform once you've logged in you're good to go.

Is it a monthly membership payment?

No! You can choose to purchase the course with 1 payment  or 3 monthly instalments. There are no additional payments.

Can I share the cost with another salon?

No! The cost of the course isn't able to be split between different salons. The Management course is per salon.

What’s the refund policy if I am not satisfied?

If you are not satisfied you have 14 days from the date of purchase to email us and request a refund.

I’m not in the UK or the US will it benefit me?

Yes! I have worked in over 50 countries and I can confidently say that the content of this course is not country specific. As with everything I encourage everyone to always adapt the content and the ideas to suit their own culture, target market and goals and ambitions.

Are there any hair cuts and colours demonstrated in the course?

There aren't any haircuts and colours demonstrated in the Management course.

How much is it if I bring a manager(s)?

As it’s an intimate group with limited seats there are no discounts for multiple bookings. We expect this event to sell out, so don’t leave it until the last minute, or you might miss out.

The course is priced at £495 per person until 31st January, then £595 per person until 28th February, then the full price of £695 per person up until the event. All prices are ex VAT. 

Is there a payment plan?

Yes, you can choose to pay in 3 interest-free payments with Paypal at checkout.

Is it suitable for new or aspiring salon owners?

Typically, these live events will have a cross-section of salons and experience levels. Antony ensures that the content is relevant to everyone in the room, regardless of their level of experience.

I’ve been in business for 20 years. Will I learn anything new?

Yes! As you know business is constantly changing and arguably now more than ever. Keeping up with modern business building strategies is now more important than ever.

 

Can I film the event?

We encourage you to actively film and photograph for social media. However, you can’t set up a camera and film the entire day. 

I already have Antony’s online course(s), is it the same?

Depending on which courses you currently have, some of the content will be familiar to you. However, being in a live group environment will ensure that there will be opportunities for the content to go off in other directions to suit the needs of the audience.

If you are already a part of the GROW community and own one of our online courses, we will extend the early bird price for you right up until the event. However as this is a small and intimate event, don't leave it too long as we expect this event to sell out!
